Day 1399: It's Fall

It's fall here! Like, it's genuinely cooler! I'm used to it going from blazing hot summer to a couple of days of nice to freezing winter and stupid amounts of snow. Here there's going to be an actual fall! The leaves are already starting to change. The leaves changed back in Utah, sure, but I bet it's going to be way prettier here, and I'm pretty excited for that. Haven't run the AC in a couple of weeks now, I'm sure.
Granted, the rain is killing me, or the threat of rain, or extreme temperature changes. Having that random ear piercing definitely helps with the migraines, but it doesn't cure them, that's for sure.
Things are overall going well. I busted my tail to write an admittedly strange story for a fic exchange/gift sort of thingie, and my awesome friend

I slept most of Sunday, no lies. Was at church for two hours. Must have slept a good four hours after that. But I have managed to stay more or less on track with my chores so far this week, which...it's only two days into the week, so that's not really impressive. Slowing down on K-dramas definitely helps with my productivity, no lies. There are so many things I want to write, and definitely not enough time. Still haven't managed to sneak in a dance lesson, which makes me sad.
Life overall is good! I am really digging working with the young women. They're really good girls, and I like them. Poor Cody usually gets the brunt of Olivia's fussiness when I'm gone, but she still refuses to take a bottle and nothing we try does the trick - different bottles, Cody doing the feeding, the whole nine yards - so we're just kinda limping along.
Ivy and Dingo are enjoying being able to run around the yard more. Getting them to come back inside when they're done is a bit of a tougher sell. We need to get the radio fence up, and then we'll be good.
Life is chill. Cody works. I keep the house running. I talk to my friends online, write a bit here and there, watch a terrible amount of K-dramas (but hey, I'm getting good at recognizing Korean working actors, like I could with Canadian ones because that's all the CW had for a long time lol), and also overindulge in K-pop fangirling.
Olivia continues to grow and be adorable. She has started putting toys in her mouth, and also throwing them. Also she has discovered how to make fart noises with her mouth, so sometimes my back will be turned and then I'll be like...do you need a diaper change or are you just entertaining yourself? I am waiting for the day she decides to show off her new skill at a really inopportune time at church. Because she would. She is her father's daughter.
Olivia is almost four months old! So hard to believe. She is growing so fast. But we love her so much.
Here's to another week of hanging in there!

Date: 2019-09-11 02:19 pm (UTC)I just know she’s going to embarrass us a lot, because she will be mischievous like her father.
I don’t have major dietary restrictions, thankfully. I was inspired by your candied flowers and wrote about some in a story, so thank you!

So Miss Olivia can hold her head up now, I assume? At what age do babies start to roll over? (Missed all these little steps, so I have no idea.)
MiniPlu LOVED making raspberry noises when she was a toddler, so much so that her first Christmas with us, she received a cross-stitch ornament of a trumpet from a crafty friend of mine. :-D :-D
